Jaya Ibrahim
Perched on a hill overlooking Layan Bay in Phuket, Villa Similan captures the immaculate vistas of the surrounding jungle and ocean. Jaya focused on the natural beauty and sense of place using an open-plan design, with clear sightlines and a light, natural palette.
While the architecture is reflective of the landscape and its contours, the interiors are a seamless response to the architecture and comes alive with hand carved features in antique Burmese teak. Indigenous and natural materials were also used, such as Thai travertine, locally-sourced wood and terrazzo flooring are all captivating points of Jaya’s signature touch.
